Meet Smokey Le Bandit. Crowbar in hand, twirly moustache, and a very bad attitude about sharing. He's a raccoon. He's a criminal. He's the star of Hacksaw Gaming's best cluster pays slot, and right now, he's waiting for you on Cooked.
The Le Bandit slot game plays out across a 6x5 grid set in the gas-lit backstreets of a sepia-toned Paris. It's got cascading wins, a chaotic coin-collecting mechanic, three different free spins rounds that escalate into each other, and a max win of 10,000x your bet. Don't let the medium volatility fool you. When Le Bandit's features align, it moves fast.
How the Le Bandit Slot Machine Works
No paylines here. Le Bandit slot uses cluster pays — wins form when five or more matching symbols land connected horizontally or vertically anywhere on the grid. Hit a cluster, and those symbols clear. But Le Bandit takes it further with what Hacksaw calls Super Cascades: when a win hits, every regular symbol of the same type disappears from the grid at once, not just the ones in the winning cluster. New symbols fall into the empty spaces. If they form another cluster, the whole thing repeats.
This is how a modest-looking spin turns into a cascade chain that wipes the board three or four times in a row.
The second layer is Golden Squares. When winning symbols are removed, their grid positions get highlighted in gold. Those highlighted squares stay inactive until a Rainbow symbol lands, at which point they all light up and reveal one of three coin types:
The Pot of Gold loop is where things can snowball properly. Every time a Pot lands, it resets the board and pulls in more values. Stack a few multiplier clovers before those Pots activate, and the numbers climb quickly.
The Three Bonus Rounds
The Le Bandit slot has three free spins rounds, and they're tiered. Land more scatters in the base game, and you climb straight to a higher one.
Luck of the Bandit
Triggered by 3 scatter symbols. You get 8 free spins, and all Golden Squares stay highlighted between spins until a Rainbow activates them. Retriggers are live: 2 more scatters gets +2 spins, 3 scatters gets +4 spins, and landing 4 scatters mid-bonus upgrades you straight to the next round.
All That Glitters is Gold
Triggered by 4 scatters. 12 free spins, Golden Squares stay highlighted even after activation and can be retriggered during the same spin.
Treasure at the End of the Rainbow
Triggered by landing all 5 scatters at once. 12 free spins, same mechanics as All That Glitters, but a Rainbow symbol is guaranteed on every single spin. Every spin activates every Golden Square on the board. It cannot be purchased; you have to earn it in the base game.
Le Bandit Slot Max Win
The Le Bandit slot max win is 10,000x your bet. At max stake ($100), that's $1,000,000 in a single game round. At a $1 bet, you're looking at $10,000. The cap kicks in automatically if your round total exceeds that number, the game ends and pays you 10,000x.
The path to the big numbers runs through Treasure at the End of the Rainbow. Guaranteed Rainbows every spin means every Golden Square activates on every spin. When those Pots of Gold are collecting from multiplied coins and triggering additional activation cycles, the compounding can move fast.
Le Bandit Slot Demo: Try It Before You Spend Anything
The Le Bandit slot demo is available free at Cooked.
The demo is worth doing for a practical reason: Le Bandit's mechanics take a few spins to fully click. The Golden Square system, the cascade chain behaviour, and the difference between a base game Rainbow hit versus a bonus round Rainbow all make more sense after you've watched it play out a few times.
Using the demo to do a Le Bandit slot review first means you're not figuring out how the Pot of Gold loop works while real money is on the line.
The le bandit slot free mode plays identically to the real money version. Same RTP, same feature frequency, same cascades. When you're ready to switch over, you're playing the same game.
Bonus Buy Options
For players who'd rather skip straight to the features, Le Bandit slot has four bonus buy options:
Treasure at the End of the Rainbow cannot be purchased. That one stays organic. Browse more bonus buy titles in the Bonus Buy Slots section if you're looking to compare.
